In the San Juan Mountains in Southwest, Colorado lies Yankee Boy basin. When Morgan reached out and said she’d be nearby visiting Ridgway, Colorado and wanted an adventurous couples photoshoot, I knew this would be perfect. Yankee Boy Basin is not an easy spot to get to – it’s a 4×4 road and definitely requires a 4×4 vehicle – perfect for jeeping, but not for the faint of heart. You drive up a gravel road where you are cliff hugging the entire time, but then you reach Yankee Boy Basin, it’s wildflowers, waterfalls, streams, and just pure beauty.
